This suite comprises tools like automated planning, simulation, and optimization, offering a unified solution for scheduling, visualization, and lift planning in modular construction. The system features include:

Automated Crane Planning and Optimization (ACPO): ACPO finds all feasible cranes’ locations and configurations to lift objects by considering all obstructions and boundaries on the site.
Auction-based Simulation for Industrial Crane Operations (ASICO): ASCIO employs discrete event simulation and optimization algorithms (genetic, Dijkstra, and A-star algorithms) to recognize the best lift schedule and crane locations by minimizing the overall project cost and satisfying the safety concerns (e.g., avoiding clashes and blind lifts).
Database: This platform developed a comprehensive database structure for the project to manage various data sets such as the project’s information, available cranes’ information, and the lifting objects’ information. The results of the lift study for each lifting object can be stored and accessed in this database, as well.
Path Planning: This engine finds the optimum path for lifting an object from the pick position to the set position without clashing other lifted objects and boundaries on the site.
CAD-based Lift Study Generation Plugins: This plugin automatically generates the lift study based on ACPO, ASICO, and available information in the database. It can also auto-generate the 3D model of lifting objects and mobile cranes for the entire project.
BIM-based 4D Plugin: This plugin, developed for Autodesk Navisworks Simulate/Manage, auto-generates the 4D schedule, which can include the presentation of the lifting path for the entire project.
Virtual Reality (VR) Engine: This engine, developed for the Unity game engine, generates a lift animation for the entire project in an interactive mode, which can involve the user in decision-making.
Reinforcement Learning (RL) Module: This module employs RL-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate the optimum lift schedule and lifting path.
Cloud Computing Engine: This engine employs Microsoft Azure cloud computing for several thousand to find the optimum path for several hundred thousand positions and configurations of the cranes in a reasonable time.
